Organizational capabilities and subject knowledge of Sankara Nethralaya anesthesiologist win high accolade at Professional meet.

The strong organizational skills of Dr VV.Jaichandran, Ophthalmic Anesthesiologist demonstrated earlier by the critical role he played in the formation of the OFISA (Ophthalmic Forum of the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists) came in for one more round of high applause at the 60th Annual National Conference of the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists (ISACON) held at the sprawling Labh Ganga Convention Centre, at Indore between the 27th&29th of December 2012. Dr VV.Jaichandran was honoured with the prestigious KOP’S award for the sterling role played by him as the scientific coordinator of the ophthalmic Forum at the two day conference. He also delivered a faculty lecture on the critical topic ‘Regional ophthalmic Anesthesia”- An update, which was very well received by the august gathering.

It would be interesting to note here that Dr VV.Jaichandran had already played the role of Scientific coordinator with élan at the 58th and 59th ISACON held at Lucknow and Mumbai respectively and has also been chosen as the Organizing Secretary of the 4th World Congress of Ophthalmic Anesthesiologists (WCO) to be conducted jointly by the British Ophthalmic Anesthesiologist Society (BOAS) and Sankara Nethralaya at Chennai in year 2016.
