An, ophthalmologist for nearly four decades, Dr. SS Badrinath has been a constant figure in the dramatic evolution of the speciality in India over the years. In an interview with Ramya Kannan, Special Correspondent, The Hindu on World Sight Day (October 14), Dr. Badrinath says that key to his practice, and the philosophy of his institution, is the conviction that ophthalmic services must be available, affordable, accessible and accountable.
