The Vidyasagar Institute of Bio-Medical Science a teaching and training arm of Sankara Nethralaya conducted the ‘The BITS Practice School – I Programme’ meant to provide exposure and real time experience to participants, between 22nd May and 13th July 2013. A total of 8 students from the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa centers participated in the programme.
Dr. P.R.Deepa Co-ordinator BITS PS I programme Chennai, Dr. K.Lily Therese Coordinator, VIBS, Dr. N. Angayarkanni, Head – Department of Bio-Chemistry, Dr.V.Umashankar, Head – Bioinformatics Department, Dr.Nivedita Chatterjee, Lecturer, Stem Cell Department, from the Vision Research Foundation, Ms. Sudha Mohan, Senior Manager, HRD and Mr.Shankar Narayanan, IT Department, Sankara Nethralaya attended the project presentation by the PS1 students and had a high word of appreciation for their good work.
The students expressed that learning at VIBS was a knowledge enriching experience and the PS-1 program helped greatly in enhancing their skills.
Dr.K.Lily Therese, Programme Co-ordinator (VIBS) and Dr.P.R.Deepa Coordinator PS I BITS, Chennai distributed the certificates to the students.
