The certificate course in Vision therapy is a 3 months program designed to provide an overview of the various Binocular vision anomalies that an Optometrists encounters in his/her clinical practice, the assessment and diagnosis of the common Binocular vision anomalies and hands- on training on evaluation of binocular vision anomalies and providing Vision therapy. At the end of the course, the primary eye care practitioner would be able to handle the patients with Binocular Vision anomalies more efficiently and in a confident manner. The practitioner will also be aware of the basic and advanced treatment modalities available for the conditions.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work with the diverse population at the Binocular Vision/ Vision therapy clinic during the in-house training. It is a refresher course for experienced optometrists who would also be exposed to the advancements in the field of Vision therapy and a career advancement program for a fresher in Optometry. The course is designed in such a way that the basic theoretical aspects will be covered through online modules in the first month and the two months of extensive in-house training will strengthen their understanding in the field.
