NTR’s kin pledge eyes to SN

Mr. K.R.V. Prasada Rao, brother-in-law of (late) N.T. Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and his wife Ms. K. Lakshmi Prasad pledged their eyes to Sankara Nethralaya on June 21, 2010.

First Bangladesh Uvea Society meeting held

Dr. J. Biswas, Director, Uvea and Ocular Pathology, Sankara Nethralaya, participated at the first annual meeting of the Bangladesh Uvea Society on May 27, 2010 at Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Alcon team visits SN

A three-member team from Alcon laboratories, USA, visited Sankara Nethralaya on June 1, 2010 to interact with doctors and students.
The team consisting of Mr. David W Stroman, Dr. Richard Garber and Ms. Gale Cupp visited the cornea, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma units as well as the research laboratories.

Eye camp at Uluberia

Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata, in association with Skipper Steel Ltd. organized an eye camp on May 28 & 29, 2010 at Uluberia, Howrah, about 70 km away from Kolkata, West Bengal.
